 <description>&lt;p&gt;I use to say that Service Catalog is the cornerstone (is this the right word?) of the ITIL roof. When customers come to us asking for SLAs or for Scorecards, I always ask them to start for the SC definition... the process to build it makes them think Service Oriented!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Even I have a nive class where I teach as a case-study how the ScoreCard project was transformed in a service catalog one and then we added a metrics one and finally a scorecard one.&lt;/p&gt;
